The Hilton Cluster Sales Office The Netherlands is looking for a pro-active Sales Manager MICE to drive additional sales opportunities on the MICE Market. As part of the Cluster Sales Team you are responsible to pro-actively approach national and international MICE accounts to lock-in new business.

Responsibilities include:

* As part of a team of 3 sales managers,driving (International) MICE and Group business into the Hilton Worldwide Properties in the Netherlands including Hilton Amsterdam, Hilton Amsterdam Airport Schiphol, Hilton Rotterdam, Hilton The Hague, Hilton Royal Parc Soestduinen and Hilton Garden Inn Leiden.

* Indentify and contract new prospect accounts in order to achieve personal and hotels revenue targets.

* Develop and optimize share of wallet of key accounts by extensive account management, liaising with global counter parts and building relationships with local contacts.

* Monitor performance on a monthly basis in order to review variances, pace and developments.

* Use analytical skills to analyse account performance and opportunities to share/explain in the commercial meeting.

* Perform site inspections, famtrips and bookers presentations for accounts, agencies and prospects to represent all Dutch properties.

* Weekly and Monthly updates on account development, lead generation and prospecting via sales reporting tools.

* Set up 365 days rolling action plan for client entertainment, account management activities and specific projects.

* Represent hotels during (international) workshops, trade fairs, joint sales calls abroad and networking opportunities.

* Initiate sales races and blitzes in relevant markets and business areas.

  • Has a minimum of 2 years MICE or Group, Conference & Events sales experience in the hospitality industry.
  • Has a proven track of sales successes.
  • Is a self-starter, can work under high pressure, enthusiastic and a Team Player who can communicate on different levels.
  • Has analytical skills, is eager and is result driven.
  • Has preferably MICE market knowledge of the Netherlands and Europe.
  • Is key in acquisition of new accounts as well as in managing and developing effective relationships with current clients for the Hilton Hotels in the Netherlands.
  • Can set short and long term business strategies with focused achievable actions and deadlines.
  • Has excellent knowledge of the English and Dutch language, preferably a third language in both oral and written communication.
  • Has extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office and Delphi.
  • Driver's license.
  • Some International Travel is required for the role.
