REPORTING to: Director of Sales and Marketing

The Residence Inn Toronto Downtown/Entertainment District is an all-suite purpose built hotel attracting long term business and leisure travel. Recently refreshed, this 256 room hotel is ideally located within minutes to Ripley’s Aquarium, Metro Toronto Convention Centre, The Second City, TIFF Bell Lightbox and Mirvish Theatre.

Our goal is to continue our dominance as a global extended stay hotel. We help our guests thrive by delivering elements of a modern home plus services and amenities that enable our guest to maximize found time. Offering interesting experiences that encourage our guest to: Connect with each other, the local area and hotel staff.

We are currently seeking a self-driven highly motivated individual to fulfill the role of a Sales Manager. A “Fiercely competitive” and “In it to win it” individual who “Thrives” at being the best.


  • Prospect and secure new Corporate Commercial accounts,
  • Penetrate and saturate accounts for complete understanding of buyers, influencers and decision makers,
  • Secure group and catering business derived from account penetration,
  • Ability to negotiate and provide solutions that supports hotels overall objectives,
  • Act as liaison between hotel and client,
  • Seeks out customer feedback and communicates internally for improved Guest Satisfaction,
  • Participates in daily and weekly sales activities,
  • Established weekly and monthly account strategy,
  • Work closely with Event and Operations to deliver products and services presented,
  • Participate in tradeshow, client and industry events as required,
  • Ability to work evening and weekend as required,
  • Other duties as assigned.


Preference will be shown to candidates who possess one or more of the following:

  • Applicant must have minimum one (1) year experience in related hotel sales environment,
  • University/College degree preferred, Hospitality or Hotel focus ideal,
  • Proven record of developing and achieving sales performance,
  • Ability to perform well, multi task, time management skill,
  • Self-motivated with ability to complete task(s)assigned in timely manner,
  • Proficiency in computer programs,
  • A team player with strong interpersonal skills,
  • Must be able to travel when required,
  • Ability to represent hotel in the highest manner.
