The major role of the Sales Manager will be to meet or exceed the annual room's revenue budget by soliciting and booking in assigned market, group rooms, banquet food, beverage, and meeting room rental business.  We are searching for Sales Manager to provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations.  the Sales Manager must be able to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and managers.  They must also maintain close contact with client or group while in house in order to ensure satisfaction and also to enable re-solicit for future business. 

The Sales Manager must:

Actively upsell each business opportunity to maximize revenue.

Achieve personal and team related goals.

Identify, qualify, and solicit new group business to achieve personal and hotel revenue goals.

Understand the overall market and competitors strengths and weaknesses.

Use negotiating skills and creative selling ability to close business and negotiate contracts.

 

 

Two+ years highly preferred.

Business attire a must.

Strong communication skills, both written and oral.

Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office) required.

Good working knowledge if CITY and past Marriott experience a plus.
