Director of Sales and Marketing
REQUIRED TRAINING/ EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
College degree or equivalent experience in the marketing of food and beverage and hotel sales process. Good communicator. Must have proven sales and supervisory experience in hotel food and beverage.
Maintains a professional appearance and poise commensurate with the image of the hotel.
Communicates with staff, clients and guests with dignity and respect.
Develops profitable sales through outside sales calls, and maintains active sales contact on all assigned accounts and within assigned market segments.
Supervises functions in progress.
Assists the Director of Sales and Marketing in marketing through outside sales and telemarketing.
Handles incoming inquiries and books premium business.
Maintains a trace system and utilizes all office automation procedures and capabilities.
Prepares banquet event orders (BEO) form clearly and detailed after conclusion of interview and booking with client.
Communicates all aspects of each event on property to all departments.
Gathers as much information as possible so each function can proceed smoothly.
Attends catering, sales, and food and beverage meetings as scheduled.
Assists the Director of Sales and Marketing in reviewing the function book and conducts evaluation of releasing or finalizing functions.
Possesses knowledge of competition and what other companies offer their clientele.
Possesses knowledge of property policies and current pricing.
Performs special projects and all other related duties as assigned.
