RV Dealer Relationship Manager

Equity Lifestyle Properties is looking for an energetic and motivated RV Dealer Relationship Manager to help grow our Thousand Trails business! Thousand Trails is the largest and most successful provider of RV resorts and campgrounds in North America with over 80 locations throughout the U.S. and British Columbia. We have combined the beauty and relaxation of a scenic nature preserve with the resort-style amenities and security of an exclusive club, resulting in a low-investment way to enjoy the benefits of resort-style camping on an annual basis.

The RV Dealer Relationship Manager’s job is to establish and maintain relationships with RV dealers who package our Thousand Trails memberships with RV purchases as an added perk.


The RV Dealer Relationship Manager will research new dealer locations, present the benefits of membership, and enroll dealers in the programs. The relationship manager also trains the dealer staff to ensure they are able to talk about the advantages of membership, and maintains strong relationships with current dealers.

The relationship manager is an integral part of our Orlando Sales and Reservations Center, and works closely with the Sales Manager re: customers with special requests or circumstances.


Current Dealers

* Perform regular in-person visits with RV Dealers currently in the RV Dealer program.

* Via phone, conduct weekly meetings with each dealer to review production.

* Troubleshoot possible problems at locations where dealers are not following the correct process. Reverse the trend so all information is gathered correctly.

* Provide weekly reports on production and activity.

* Oversee the invoicing process to dealers and troubleshoot billing discrepancies.

Future Dealers

* Research new dealer locations in all territories that are located within 150 miles of a TT property.

* Make initial phone calls to the owner or GM of the dealership and explain the program.

* Create and present a personalized RV Dealer Outline.

* Provide temporary test display agreements for interested dealers to execute.

* Get contracts signed with new dealers!

* Once the agreement is fully executed, order marketing materials for the dealership.

* Schedule a training date and time with the new dealer.

* When traveling to train a new dealer, make all attempts to also train other dealers in the area and perform follow up visits with current dealers also within a 200 mile radius.

* Communicate with all marketing staff at dealer location and inform them of the importance of adding this offer to their website, all radio and TV campaigns, direct mail, newspaper and postcard campaigns.

* Track dealer information and sales using Excel.


* 5+ years proven experience and success in sales

* Ability and willingness to spend time selling via phone and with extensive travel

* Organized and detail oriented

* Nimble using computer systems and Excel spreadsheets

* Strong written and verbal communication skills

* Self-motivated, yet collaborative team player

* Ability to coach, mentor, train and supervise one administrative employee

* Road warrior
