Some duties include:

Selects, trains, supervises, develops, coaches, and provides motivation for all Housekeeping, Laundry and Maintenance team members to ensure efficient, safe operations and to maintain an atmosphere of +1 Service for our guests and team.

Operates the Housekeeping and Maintenance departments. Ensures all reports and checklists are turned into the Manager on Duty and communicates any follow-up needed for the evening.

Positively promotes and implements new procedures and policies in adherence to Drury policies and procedures; systematically monitors, evaluates and reports effectiveness of these policies and procedures to the General Manager.

Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics which inspire team members to exceed expectations and holds team members accountable for achieving Drury standards.

Ensures implementation of processes regarding preventative maintenance and quality control programs per Drury policies and procedures.

Directs/oversees the cleanliness, maintenance and set up of meeting space.

Controls labor cost using the Housekeeping Best Practice procedure. Prepares, monitors and updates team member schedules to ensure proper staffing levels based on the hotel’s occupancy. This includes use of forecasting reports, MPR requirements and the evening occupancy call.

EDUCATION: Requires knowledge, skill and mental development equivalent to completion of 4 years of college or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Business, or a related field.

EXPERIENCE: Requires minimum of 5 years of experience in supervising the work of others. Two years experience in commercial housekeeping or maintenance preferred.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Requires ability to walk and stand during 5 to 6 hours each day while inspecting rooms. Requires ability to lift up to 35 pounds intermittently during the work day. Requires the ability to perform all Housekeeper and House Person job duties
