The Room Service Server is responsible for setting, delivering, and serving Room Service orders in accordance with hotel standards.



  • Completes required set up / preparation, at beginning of shiftInspects all equipment prior to and at end of shift, reports any needed repairs to supervisor

  • Inventories supplies at beginning of shift, obtains supplies necessary to support forecasted level of business

  • Prepares coffee as required throughout shift

  • Deliver guest amenities to guest rooms.

  • Presets trays and carts as required throughout shift

  • Checks all Room Service Orders for accuracy and completeness prior to departing kitchen

  • Delivers Room Service Orders to guestroom in a timely manner

  • Sets up and serves order in guest room, according to guest preference, in a polite professional manner

  • Obtains proper charge authorization or payment for orders delivered

  • Completes all necessary paperwork accurately and legibly

  • Picks up soiled Room Service trays and carts from guestrooms and corridors as needed

  • Cleans and maintains Room Service area and equipment

  • Completes assigned closing duties at end of shift

  • Engage and delight the guest and make experience positive

  • Other duties as assigned


Required Skills and Experience



  • Thorough knowledge of quality food service techniques and standards

  • Ability to lift and carry food service trays weighting 35+ pounds

  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
