Room Service Operator

Position Summary

 

 

This position is responsible for sales activities associated with the Room Service operation to include; assisting guest in the selection of menu items; upselling food, beverages, after dinner beverages and desserts; taking and processing orders; maintaining records

Required Skills and Experience
  • Must be customer service oriented and have excellent hospitality skills
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, and holidays in a fast paced and high volume environment
  • Exceptional guest service and telephone skills
  • Computer skills, ability to operate basic office equipment
  • Effective organizational and communications skills
  • Thorough knowledge of quality food service techniques and standards
  • Knowledge of general hotel operations, happenings and current events
  • Micros or similar POS operating experience
  • One to two years food service experience in a similar luxury property
  • Comply with all hotel/company standards.
  • Perform various tasks and assignments as directed by management.
