I. Job Summary
The Retail Stockroom Attendant is a critical link to guest satisfaction and daily operations of the Signature Store. Responsibilities include inventory control, stockroom duties, as well as in store retail sales duties such as: welcoming guests, readily assisting guests and patrons in purchasing items, anticipating guest needs and meeting or exceeding those needs, responding to and resolving guest inquires and complaints. This person should be very comfortable with computers as well as interacting with guests in a professional manner.
II. Job Responsibilities
Stock Room Duties
* Maintain the inventory for the Signature Store and ensure items are in stock and priced according to the direction of the Signature Store Manager
* Communicate with Signature Store and operating systems vendors
* Receive all retail items as they arrive through receiving and ensure items received match what was ordered in quality and price
* Enter all items into Signature Store inventory, create pricing labels and attach to retail items
* Conduct periodic inventory control checks
* Report directly to the Signature Store Manager any inconsistencies with inventory controls
Guest Communication
* Greet and make all guests feel welcomed to the Cheeca Lodge & Spa.
* Communicates effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
* Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance.
* Ensure guest satisfaction by responding to inquiries with accurate information and a positive attitude.
* Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services or connect the guest to the appropriate person to help.
* Answer calls with appropriate greeting.
* Welcome and effectively resolve guest questions, issues and complaints with supervisor assistance as needed.
* Attend team briefings.
Financial Transactions
* Handle cash, credit card and other financial transactions.
* Post charges.
* Compute or adjust bill, collect payment and make change for guests.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education
* High school diploma or GED preferred
Skills and Experience (Essential)
* At least 18 years of age
* Must have working knowledge of computers
* Must be able to read, communicate effectively and have superb interpersonal skills
Skills and Experience (Preferred)
* Past work experience in the hospitality and/or retail industry
* Communication in other languages is helpful.
