The Restaurant Manager is responsible for the coordination of the activities of the outlets staff to deliver quality product and service to restaurant guests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct the day to day operations of all areas of the Restaurant.
  • Plan and manage the procurement, production, preparation and presentation of all food in the hotel in a safe, sanitary, cost effective manner.
  • Interview, select, train, supervise, counsel and discipline restaurant staff for the efficient operation of the outlet.
  • Handle guest’s complaints.
  • Ensure food quality and service standards are met.
  • Maintain profitability of outlet to support overall hotel operation.
  • Develop and implement cost saving and profit enhancing measures.
  • Conduct competitive research and report trends and recommendations
  • Support the entire Food & Beverage operation including supervising other areas if necessary, handling special projects, running promotions, handling public relations and marketing.
  • Provide clean and safe environment by assigning and assisting with cleaning.
  • Control payroll and equipment costs (minimizing loss and misuse).

 

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Requisites

  • Must possess the following strengths: high energy, entrepreneurial spirit, motivational leader, proven track record in high volume property, effective communicator, effective in providing exceptional customer service and associate relations, and ability to improve the bottom line.
  • Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage outlet operations including foods, beverages, supervisory aspects, service techniques and guest interaction.
  • Must have excellent organizational, interpersonal and administrative skills.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop staff and to ensure accomplishment of goals.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • At least 3 years experience in a senior role in a hotel restaurant environment. Hotel experience or full-service restaurant required. Must have experience managing a large staff, budgets, and food costs.
  • Culinary education is desirable.
