Job Description


The Meritage Resort and Spa is seeking a dynamic hospitality individual to join our team as the Restaurant Manager for the Crush Lounge.

Job Summary:

The Restaurant Manager reports to the F&B Director and is a hands-on experienced Manager who leads the team, manages the floor and insures our guests receive the highest level of service and quality on a daily basis.   This position manages the Crush Ultra Lounge.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead, develop, plan, organize, direct, and coordinate the Crush Ultra Lounge teams to ensure exceptional service
  • Hire, train, develop and supervise
  • Address guest concerns and react and solve quickly and professionally
  • Maintain costs, inventory, and quality control
  • Assist in managing, operating and supervising the other F&B venues as needed
  • Develop, mentor, coach, and counsel staff on an ongoing basis
  • Conduct regularly scheduled departmental meetings
  • Maximize revenues, implement strategies, practices and promotions
  • Maintain knowledge of all menus
  • Collaborate with culinary to offer current and seasonal menu items
  • Manage the departmental budget, payroll and revenues to achieve company's financial objectives
  • Uphold, train, and insure safety policies are consistent among staff members

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years management experience within a food and beverage venue
  • Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend and holiday shifts as required by operational needs
  • ServSafe Food Handler certification

 

 Ideal candidate will have:

 

  • Prior restaurant and/or lounge/bar experience
  • Proficient knowledge of wine, spirits and full service alcohol serving facility
  • Outstanding management, organization, communication and leadership skills
  • Strong and proven ability to motivate, train, develop, mentor
  • Ability to provide outstanding customer service
  • Ability to monitor labor
  • Ability to maintain sanitation procedures and organization of work area adhering to all OSHA and local health department regulations
  • Computer savvy


Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, use hands to manipulate equipment, and to talk and hear.  The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch.  Frequent visits to individual resort properties, of such facilities which have a wide diversity of topography are required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move office supplies weighing up to 25 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.  Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and other office/restaurant equipment.
