Hotel Overview:  Reigning from Bermuda's highest point, over a majestic 100 acre estate, The Fairmont Southampton is located on the southern shore of Bermuda. The Fairmont Southampton has been the island's premier luxury resort since its opening in 1972 and is regarded as a leader in the hospitality industry on the island.

Summary of Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Director of Revenue Management, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: 

  • Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service

  • Book and enter room reservation requests using the Property Management System

  • Enter rooming lists while ensuring accuracy, as required

  • Update reservations ensuring a flawless check in and check out process

  • Ensure revenue is maximized by up-selling guest rooms and recommending hotel facilities

  • Liaise with Sales and other departments as required

  • Answer telephone and email inquiries in a timely manner

  • Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way

  • Follow department policies, procedures and service standards

  • Follow all safety policies 

  • Other duties as assigned


  • Secretarial and/or Administrative Certificate preferred

  • 1 year relevant experience in a support/customer service role

  • Ability to type a minimum of 25 wpm

  • Essential skills/attributes:  detail oriented, ability to work on own initiative, positive attitude, professional demeanor; superior customer service, excellent communication skills (verbal and written), team, interpersonal, organization, prioritization, multi-tasking and problem solving skills

  • Working knowledge of Micros-Fidelio Property Management system preferred

  • Proficient with MS Office suite applications required

Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): 

  • Frequent sitting throughout shift

  • Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, walking and standing

  • Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps

Visa Requirements: Only applicants who are Bermudian, a Spouse of Bermudian or hold a Permanent Resident's Certificate are eligible for this position.
