Position Description:

The ideal candidate for this role will have experience performing facilities management responsibilities related to asset protection as well as life safety. This position will work closely with the Corporate Director Facilities to carry out responsibilities in the following functional areas: asset protection, energy conservation, HVAC, electrical, education & safety programs, property audits, regulatory compliance, capital plans and chief engineer recruiting and training.

1. Function as the primary support to the Corporate Director Facilities as it relates to conducting property audits and ensuring that the facility is current with prescribed company engineering operating standards.
2. Ensure that properties are adhering to the company prescribed maintenance, safety and asset protection systems. Share best practices for repair and maintenance.
3. Review property budgets and Capex planning on major mechanical, roofs, facades, skylights to identify short term capital items
4. Oversee energy conservation efforts and develop strategies for the specific needs of the property and effectively reduce the energy consumption expenses. Monitor energy audit outcomes and create action plans as appropriate. 5. Conduct final punch of major renovations as requested by the corporate office to ensure contractor has performed work as bid and is operating satisfactorily.
6. Train and develop new and current Chief Engineers on the compulsory skill sets required to manage the assets of the property, utilities, HVAC, electrical, safety programs.
7. Ensure regulatory compliance guiding properties through state and federal requirements such as OSHA, ADA, environmental requirements, by visiting properties and conducting periodic audits of operating procedures and standards.
8. Conduct safety walk and asset protection inspections and compile the appropriate reports for Corporate Director of Facilities, Operational leadership and Corporate Human Resources. Verify maintenance of major equipment is contracted or capable of being maintained by the property staff.
9. Serve on task force assignments as requested by the Corporate Director of Facilities or functional leaders.
10. Verify, engineering operation procedure’s when visiting hotels.

REGIONAL FACILITIES MANAGER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to performing capital expenditures retrofits and replacements with-in the parameters of an operating hotel. – General, Reporting Skills, Verbal Communication, Administrative Writing Skills. Knowledge of building trades, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and general building construction, as well as, knowledge of facilities regulations and safety standards, (OSHA, EPA, ADA, CFC, NFPA)

REQUIREMENTS: • 10 – 12 years of related experience OR 4 year degree in Mechanical Sciences • Relevant hospitality industry experience required • Up to 80% + travel requirements
