Job Description


We are actively seeking a very strong, exceptionally knowledgeable, energetic and highly experienced Regional Corporate Director of Sales to join our team at Westmont Hospitality Group. The successful candidate will work directly with hotel sales and catering departments to drive revenues and increase bottom line profits for a diverse portfolio of hotels. The position is responsible for overseeing and directing the implementation of successful strategies designed to achieve the objectives as outlined in the hotels marketing plans, as well as assist in the recruitment, training and development of hotel sales and catering teams.  This position is responsible for developing and executing aggressive and proactive sales plans for all market segments along with managing sales department associates.

The ideal candidate will be a strong creative leader with excellent selling and presentation skills. Must have the ability to build and develop a successful sales team while maintaining a competitive and fun environment. Candidates must have a minimum of 5-7 years of experience as DOSM in full service hotels as well as multi-unit experience, preferably in a multi Brand environment.

Preferred candidates must have in-depth understanding of group, business transient, leisure and catering sales. Candidates should have significant experience in marketing including traditional, Internet and Social Media.

Responsible for driving the sales and marketing efforts and performance for eight to twelve hotels. Position is home based and requires 65-75% travel across the United States to a portfolio of hotels located in the mid-western and eastern US.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Responsible for training and mentoring hotel sales and catering teams.
*Must have complete understanding of all market segments and be able to analyze sales and market reports.
*Work with Area GM’s, GM’s and sales leaders to develop sales strategies and plans.
*Participate in developing annual business plans in coordination with hotel teams.
*Must be results driven with the ability to effectively work with different hotel sales teams and monitor performance.
*Must have strong understanding of revenue management with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
*Must have demonstrated problem solving and time management skills for the purpose of troubleshooting, prioritizing and quickly resolving sales issues.
*Ability to work in a fast-pace, high-energy and demanding work environment.
*Good understanding of revenue generation and profit/loss implications.
*Dedicated, hardworking, self-motivated to work independently with little guidance.
*Must have the ability and means to travel throughout designated markets.
*Must have ability to travel over-night as necessary (60-70%).

Job Requirements


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*Responsible for meeting/exceeding budgeted revenues and RevPAR performance.
*Responsible for training and mentoring all sales staff and indirect sales staff members.
*Must have complete understanding of all market segments and be able to read and analyze STR report.
*Work with Area GM’s and GM’s to produce accurate revenue forecast to corporate office.
*Leads completion of annual business planning process in coordination with hotel General Manager.
*Develop and execute effective sales actions plans by segment.
*Actively participate in weekly revenue meetings with corporate staff to develop effective pricing strategies.
*Responsible for ensuring compliance with all brand requirements including training, special offers and RFP's.
*Responsible for meeting or exceeding individually assigned revenue production goals.
*Maintains pro-active selling approach to all assigned segments and honors key selling hours.
*Must meet or exceed monthly individual and team sales call goals.
*Must be able to create and execute effective sales action plan and lead weekly sales meetings.
*Maintain high visibility within the community to promote hotel.
*Must have exceptional organizational and time management skills.

*Must be results driven with the ability to effectively manage hotel revenue performance.
*Must have the ability to develop & execute detailed, effective and measurable sales action plans specific to market segments.
*Must have strong understanding of revenue management with exceptional analytical and organizational skills.
*Must have demonstrated problem solving and time management skills for the purpose of troubleshooting, prioritizing and quickly resolving sales issues.
*Ability to work in a fast-pace, high-energy and demanding work environment.
*Good understanding of revenue generation and profit/loss implications.
*Must have proficient skills with use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and ability to use Internet to research potential business leads.
