Job Description

The Regional Director, Finance (RDOF) will perform Accounting-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the Vice President, Finance on key projects and organizational initiatives. This position will work closely with the Vice President, Operations (VPO) to carry out leadership responsibilities in the following functional areas: financial statement review, budgeting and forecasting, procurement and finance related systems and other related finance projects.

The RDOF will be a key contributor to strategies, tactics, long-range forecasting, and overall efforts to continually improve the operations and return to owners. The individual will also work closely with the property Directors of Accounting Services, corporate staff accountants, and other disciplines to ensure appropriate accountability and transparency, with vigilant attention to management of risk, internal financial and operational controls, budget, as well as protection and growth of assets.


* Responsible for managing e-procurement system and monitoring for compliance.
* Responsible for Financial Systems relating to Accounting Operations and acts as a resource for Property Directors of Accounting Services on items relating to Financial Systems.
* Assist in Property reviews of daily and monthly financial statements, forecasts and budgets.
* Responsible for monitoring property compliance and efficiencies including performing analysis on Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
* Participate in the creation and implementation of Accounting Standard Operating Procedures.
* Assist in coverage of Directors of Accounting Services transitions and vacancies.
* Assists in the development and evaluation of reports, decisions and results of the department in relation to established goals.
* Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of the department and services performed.
* Participate and assist VPOs' and GMs' in continually improving profitability through cost control, driving topline revenue, and process improvements.
* Perform targeted property audits to checking internal controls and oversee remediation.
* Review and approve property balance sheet reconciliations.
* Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

Job Requirements

• 11 – 15 years of related experience
• 6-10 years of supervisory experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline – REQUIRED
• Hospitality industry experience required
• Experience in Birch Street and Concur preferred
• CPA or CHAE Certification preferred
• Travel: 25%-50%
