The Purchasing Agent will order hotel food products from approved vendors. Manage the food storeroom operation of the hotel. Organize, participate in, and oversee month-end food inventories.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Order all hotel products.
  • Place stock orders so proper inventory levels of food products are maintained.
  • Participate in month-end food inventory. Records stock quantities as counter calls them out.
  • Enter ordering data into the computer daily.
  • Generate and print purchase order sheets for storeroom clerks can make deliveries.
  • Update inventory file daily so pricing and stock management is current and accurate.
  • Print out monthly inventory sheets by computer to provide a means to take month-end inventory.
  • Oversee general inventory process.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Requirements

Required Skills and Requisites

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Service orientation. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.

  • Must have strong computer skills.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous experience in purchasing preferred.
