Position Description

As Interstate's Program Manager for Learning & Career Development, you'll be able to exercise your talents, hone your skills and increase your understanding of Learning & Development in the hospitality industry.

As the Program Manager for Learning & Career Development, you will:

  • Create new and redesign existing programs to fit the needs of today's associates.

  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts to develop training plans and strategies that align with business needs for leadership development, service, and system training.

  • Host and facilitate both in-person and virtual training sessions.

  • Manage and monitor the enrollment, completion and billing of learning and development offerings.

  • Serve as primary point of contact for signature associate programs such as our associate recognition program, associate engagement survey, and annual performance review.

  • Provide exceptional troubleshooting and support to associates at every level of the organization.


Bachelor's degree with 1 - 3 years progressive experience in learning & development environment. Prior experience in hospitality a plus. Thorough understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies, with demonstrated experience using Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and equivalent programs. Demonstrated ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and be detail-oriented. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Exceptional interpersonal, customer service, organization and time-management skills. The ability to work effectively with limited supervision.

This position is based in our Arlington, VA Corporate Office and will support all US time zones.
