The Loews Don CeSar Hotel is seeking a Pool Attendant to join our team. Built in 1928 to resemble a Mediterranean-style castle, and known as Florida's "Pink Palace", the Loews Don CeSar has been revitalized and refreshed within ensuring a future as rich and storied as its history. The Pool Attendant will work closely with all hotel departments, but particularly with the Food & Beverage Department to ensure we provide a diligent yet charismatic first impression as we greet and sit all guests to ensure a quality pool experience.
More specifically, responsibilities include:
BASIC PURPOSE: Maintain the established standards of performance, service, hospitality, cleanliness and safety in the pool/health club area at all times in order to maximize guest satisfaction and revenue.
* Keep all areas associated with the health club/pool clean at all times. (60%)
* Assist guests with equipment and activities and respond to guest needs as required to guarantee maximum guest satisfaction and quality operations. (25%)
* Ensure that health club/pool usage rules are adhered to at all times to guarantee guest and employee safety. (5%)
* Maintain proper chemical and temperature levels in the pool and other applicable health club/pool area equipment i.e. whirlpool, sauna, etc., to ensure guest comfort and adherence to state and local regulations. (1%)
* Maintain adequate supplies in the facility. (1%)
* Promote and sell health club/pool memberships. (1%)
* Complete daily reports and logs as required. (1%)
* Maintain the security of the facility in conjunction with applicable hotel departments and personnel. (1%)
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
Education: Required -High school or equivalent.
Preferred -Certified CPR, Life Saving Certificate, First Aid Certificate.
Skills and Abilities: Ability to follow written/oral instructions on proper equipment cleaning & handling and the ability to swim.
