Position Description


As Payroll Clerk, you will

  • Run computer payroll reports for managers. This would include the daily, weekly and bi-weekly punch detail, absent, wage and overtime reports.

  • Enter all missed punches, make any changes that the manger marks on the payroll sheets and add hours for any person who did not punch.

  • Enter all vacation, sick, holiday or bereavement pay on a weekly basis

  • Process reversals so the estimate from the previous period is reversed out at the beginning of each period.

  • Download time clock information as updates and damages occur

  • Input server's total sales receipts daily and scroll through full screen editor on a bi-weekly/weekly basis to make sure that tipped employees are claiming tips, all question marks are answered and every person has at least one punch on their card.

  • Input all manual checks, keep track of the name, check number, amount and reason why the check was typed.

  • Receive paychecks, accept payroll, run reports and distribute paychecks.

  • Track underage workers to make sure they are taking their required breaks and are not working over eight hours.

As Human Resources Clerk, you will

  • Provide overall support to the human resources department, enabling smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. Use your multi-tasking talents to assist with associate and management needs during the employment lifecycle.

  • Employ your excellent people skills to help with the hiring process and training

  • Help ensure safety and regulatory compliance by maintaining employment and termination records and logs and regulatory tracking. Administer OSHA, workers comp, unemployment claims, and ensuring effective communication flow between all parties.

  • Effectively communicate important info to associates, including benefits, and assist with orientation. Ensure that associate bulletin boards are current, interesting, and include safety info.

  • Ensure the office is equipped with the supplies needed to function smoothly.
