Job Description

The Parking Attendant/Van Driver is responsible for greeting guests in a friendly and courteous manner. By hand or use of baggage carts, transfer luggage and packages to and from rooms, vehicles and/or loading areas. Issue parking tickets to overnight guests entering the hotel parking lot. Answer guest inquiries about hotel services and in-house events, etc. Provide guests information about local features such as shopping, dining, nightlife, and recreational destinations. May clean, inspect and maintain hotel vehicles. Drive guests between airport and hotel and the local area. Obey all traffic rules and speed limits for safe, accident-free trips. Open and close vehicle doors for guests. Assist guests with storing and retrieving their luggage from vehicle. Run hotel errands as instructed by management. Clean and inspect hotel vehicles. Maintain vehicle cleanliness, pump gas and obtain oil changes. Complete vehicle and mileage reports. Assist bell staff and/or doo rperson as needed.

High school education or related experience. A valid driver''s license and proven ability to safely drive is required. Knowledge of hotel and the city. Ability to understand and obey all traffic rules, speed limits and federal, state and local driving regulations. Ability to understand and provide friendly guest service. Familiarity with hospitality industry practices preferred. Ability to work a flexible weekend schedule from 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM.
