Job Description
Wyndham Hotel Group is searching for an Outdoor Porter to work at the beautiful American Airlines Training and Conference Center inFort Worth, TX.  This position is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and aesthetic appearance of the entire grounds of the conference center.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
  • Inspects entire grounds and buildings for debris and removes.
  • Performs cleaning tasks in grounds areas, including sweeping, window cleaning and collecting garbage
  • Sweeps roadside, walkways, and gutters.
  • Wipes down all outside tables, chairs, and ledges in all outside public areas and corridors. 
  • Empties public trash receptacles. Replaces trash can liners.
  • Maintains the cleanliness of the pool area.  Arranging tables and chairs in their proper place. 
  • Reports and delivers lost and found items to the housekeeping office.
  • Return any food, beverage or equipment found in the public areas to the proper department.
  • Reports maintenance problems to the Housekeeping office.
  • Have a general knowledge of the facility in order to respond to guest questions or directions.
  • Special projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Offers all assistance possible to guests.
  • Continually monitors all work areas for safety and sanitation
Basic Qualifications
  • Minimum formal education of some high school and a minimum of less than six months job-related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong preference for prior experience working as a groundskeeper.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members at all levels of the organization.
  • Must be able to abide by the company appearance standards and compliance with the designated uniform.
  • Must be able to work a 7am - 3:30pm shift - weekends, holidays, and special events, as needed.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
Physical requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, bend and use hands to handle objects, tools or controls.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. and work the majority of shift in a standing position.
  • Frequently is required to talk or hear.
  • Significant portions (more than 50%) of daily assignments involve exposure to dirt, odors, noise, or temperature / weather extremes. Working surfaces may be unlevel, slippery, or unstable.
