Job Details

Summary
Accountable for achieving budgeted revenues/profits, while maintaining the operational and service standards prescribed by Hotel as well as those prescribed by Concord Hospitality Enterprises.

Special Requirements
Must be able to work flexible hours and be on call 24-hours a day if an emergency arises.

Responsibilities
1. Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times.

2. Manage and coordinate the activities of hotel staff.

3. Interpret company policies and provide a safe work environment by ensuring compliance with safety programs and job safety analysis.

4. Ensure adherence to the Guarantee of Fair Treatment Policy.

5. Interview applicants. Orient and train new associates. Conduct ongoing training to increase job knowledge and skill level.

6. Coach and counsel associates to encourage positive behaviors and correct negative behaviors.

7. Analyze and resolve work problems or assist associates in solving work problems.

8. Initiate or suggest plans to motivate associates to achieve related goals.

9. Monitor uniform standards to ensure compliance with the Standards of Appearance.

10. Comply with all regulations and guidelines for Human Resource tasks.

11. Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as promotions, transfers, discharges and disciplinary measures.

12. Be knowledgeable of associate benefits procedures and administration.

13. Ensure proper hiring practices comply with I-9, ADA and EEO requirements.

14. Monitor service trends by speaking with guests, reviewing written guest comment cards, and guest tracking information to ensure service standards are achieved.

15. Resolve all service issues via written communication or phone calls to complete the satisfaction of the customer.

16. Empower and teach all associates how to resolve guest questions and/or complaints.

17. Recognize associates for demonstrating outstanding service initiative with guests and fellow associates.

18. Coordinate implementation of service strategies at the hotel level.

19. Support development of new business by creatively resolving special customer requests through making sound business decisions, passing on leads, conducting tours, making sales calls, and actively participating with community organizations.

20. Review inventory control and selling strategy daily.

21. Ensure hotel staff understands national sales and marketing programs and promotions at the hotel level.

22. Monitor fluctuations and trends in room business volumes to be used in short and long term forecasting.

23. Ensure budgeted revenues and profits are achieved.

24. Ensure accounting policies are in place.

25. Perform hands on duties as needed to deliver guest services.

26. Input and reconcile invoices as directed by the General Manager.

27. Ensure that all equipment is maintained in accordance to the service standards and that outages are reported and resolved in a timely manner.

28. Responsible for management systems - accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, scheduling, etc.

29. Ensure that effective and ongoing training and development plan is in effect, especially regarding the effective use of all confidential systems.

30. Ensure compliance with all Guidelines for Operations.

31. Responsible for accident prevention for associate and guests

32. Act as primary contact with vendors for supplies.

33. Be able to move luggage, packages and furniture weighing up to 30lbs.

34. Associate must adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies established by the company, including, but not limited to, those contained in the associate handbook.

35. Associate must perform other managerial duties as assigned, of which the associate is capable.
