Job Description

The Balboa Bay Resort is seeking a highly motivated, self-determined, dynamic individual with a strong commitment to outstanding service to join our team as a Night Auditor.

Job Summary:

Reconcile and record all Departmental Revenues, to include daily cash and charge transactions.               

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Complete nightly audit packet.
  • Maintain Audit Controls.  Keep controller informed of any problems or issues.
  • Produce and Distribute morning manager report. 
  • Replenish Computer Paper Supply
  • Assist guest service agents with posting and balancing of shift work.
  • Attend all meetings as requested or assigned.
  • Special projects as assigned by management.

 Job Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work weekends and holidays.
  • Must be willing to work overnight/graveyard shifts.
  • Ability to interact with all associates and guests of the hotel.
  • Must be able to stand for an 8 hour shift.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work semi-independently without direct supervision by following all Estancia La Jolla standards.
  • Intermediate level computer skills and knowledge of MS Excel required.
  • Good Math/10 Key/Communication Skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Read, write and speak English fluently.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other associates.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Hotel experience preferred.
  • Night Audit Experience required.
  • OPERA experience preferred.
  • CPR certification and/or first aid training preferred.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands in repetitive motions.  The employee frequently is required to stand for periods of time, walk, sit, push and pull. The employee is occasionally required to climb stairs, crawl, kneel, stoop, crouch and reach with hands and arms.   Employee may be required to lift up to 25 pounds.
