Position National Sales Manager
Effective Date 1212016

JOB OVERVIEW The National Sales Manager will work closely with all hotel departments to ensure we provide an exceptional level of service to our group clients and attendees at all times. The position is responsible for account management for a specific geographic region and key accounts focusing on all market segments. The position maintains a booking goal of at least 30 of the sales team booking goal for the year, and is one of the four largest revenue producers on the team. The position requires active outbound sales efforts in their geographic market at least 50 of the time, and may require additional travel for sales missions and site inspections. This position maintains a full time home office.

REPORTS TODirector of Sales Marketing


1.Identify sources of group business to the hotel and establish solicitation programs to maximize sales for a specific region and established key accounts.

2.Be responsible for and implement a sales action plan to develop designated market segments within region and key accounts.

3.Proactively craft strategic plan and create metrics to evaluate the successful execution of plan specific to market.

4.Proven track record of consistently exceeding production and sales activity goals.

5.Develop active communication and close rapport with key property departments, Crescent Global Sales, local CVB staff, third parties, hotel representation firms, and other sources of sales information and support.

6.Achieve personal sales goals as designated by the Director of Sales and Marketing.

7.50 of time must be spent on proactive outside sales efforts within client base.

8.Make written and personal presentations to meeting planners, boards of directors, convention delegates, or site selection committees on behalf of Salishan.

9.Meet weekly prospecting and outside sales call goals.

10.Develop and maintain professional relationship with clients create and maintain a robust database and client portfolio.

11.Attend trade shows and industry events that are beneficial to designated market segments and drive revenue within region.

12.Administer outbound sales programs to deliver qualified leads to other resorts within the Crescent portfolio.

13.Participate in key industry events and organizations that bring national and local exposure to Salishan.

14.Agility in multitasking.

15.Ability to produce reports within scheduled deadlines as requested by Director of Sales and Marketing.

16.Decisiveness and strategic thinking are highly desired attributes.

17.Ability to make decisions on imperfect information.

18.Other duties as assigned.
1.4- year college degree preferred
2.7-10 years of outbound hotel group sales experience with at least 5 years of experience selling full service resorts on a National level preferred.
3.Excellent communication skills both oral and written required.
4.Excellent networking, negotiation, and presentation skills required.
5.Able to work flexible hours to include client entertainment and national travel to client events and industry trade shows.
6.Ability to work at least 50 of the time outside of the office conducting proactive sales activities.
7.Able to self-motivate and maintain a professional home office environment within their specified geographic region.
8.Must be a skilled leader, have strong organizational skills, and have thorough knowledge and understanding of hotel operations.
9.Must be actively involved in key industry organizations and seen as a leader for the hotel, with an extensive rolodex of existing clients and decision makers who can positively impact revenue generation for Salishan.

Every Crescent associate should adhere to the hotel security policies and procedures, particularly regarding key controls, lifting heavy objects, using chemicals, and effectively reporting safety hazards and safety concerns.
