Job Description

This role is responsible for coordinating services for clients and in-house guest and provide administrative and sales support for the department. These responsibilities may include: respond to client calls and special requests and obtain final details, dates, times, and hotel room and meeting room requirements; administrative duties such as typing proposals, letters, contracts, etc.; coordinate outside vendor services needs where appropriate; and follow-up with client to ensure that arrangements meet their needs. This position may also perform other duties as assigned (guest room tours, property tours, special guest requests, maintaining calendars, answering phones and routing to appropriate sales staff, handling of mail, faxes, etc.)

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

* Raise PO invoices for marketing, follow up with accounting

* Phone coverage for marketing team

* Assist with booking VIP & media stays

* Write copy for social media

*

Marketing/PR: [40%]

* Coordinate and deploy online component of web and/or interactive marketing campaigns, content and creative for both brand specific and multi-brand audiences as defined by Interactive Marketing Manager Specialists.

* Responsible for monitoring and clipping of press coverage and reports as needed

* Help create and implement internal communication programs as needed

* Assist & coordinate press tours, filming and photo-shoots

* Assist the team during events and activations

* Assist with other special marketing research and cultural planning projects as needed

* Design artwork and promotional material / collateral for social media, outlets and sales.

Online Marketing & Social Media: [60%]

* Assist on the creation, implementation, management and reporting of social media content and ensure hotel presence for guest awareness

* Assist with CRM/e-mail marketing/database growth and reporting

* Assist with management of e-commerce agency, weekly reporting, and mobile app

* Make website updates and edits as requested; fulfill data information requests for online activity

* Set up the social content calendar and write copy for daily posts

* Coordinates communication of online initiatives as needed with management





Technical Skills and Qualifications Required:

* College degree or equivalent experience

* Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

* Previous experience/internship in marketing, PR and digital marketing

* Well-versed on all social media channels – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, Pinterest,

Snapchat, etc.

* Strong copywriting skills, able to be the voice of the brand

* Some design knowledge/experience in Photoshop or InDesign

* Basic photography and video skills a plus

Job Requirements

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent plus 1 year experience in a sales/catering office or related field. Some College is preferred. You must be able to type at least 50 wpm; proficient computer skills. You may be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
