Position Description

This is a career opportunity with Interstate Hotels & Resorts.

BASIC PURPOSE: Provide excellent customer service to all our guest and co-workers.


  • Must be able to work a varied schedule to include weekends, evenings and overnight.

  • Speak, read and write English

  • Stand for at least eight hours and have quick mobility.

  • Must be able to reach overhead and forward. Must be able to lift a box of supplies (max weight of 10lbs)

  • Utilize and do one or more of the following during a minimum eight hour shift:

  • Drive a golf cart or similar vehicle, utilize an ear piece radio, fire extinguishers and watchman time clock.

  • Reach overhead and forward, kneel, crawl, stoop, twist, squat, sit, climb and run

  • Read and initial log book at start of shift and follow front desk checklist.

  • Be familiar with arriving Groups and VIP's.

  • Read all spec sheets pertaining to Groups arriving and departing on the day.

Education: Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to function effectively.

Experience, Skills and Abilities:

  • Basic knowledge of fuel and boats is a plus but not req'd.

  • Front desk agent experience an asset but not required

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Must be computer literate.

  • Previous cash handling experience a plus
