As a Marketing & Communication Manager, you are responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategy that deliver the net revenue / result for the property / area of responsibility. Compile and execute the commercial focus process to drive business growth as below:

Planning

1 Work with Director Business Development in assessing hotel positioning to better market the hotel, and share an understanding of target customers.
2 Be involved in the revenue plan, so that goals for the year are clearly defined from a marketing perspective. Have input into setting the marketing budget for the year to allow for clear communication of promotions planned and the budgetary constraints.
3 Develop the marketing/pr plan in accordance with revenue plan/SWOT analysis and regular competitor checks.
4 Involved in regional objectives/plan. Communicate marketing activity to allow integration of hotel plans with regional priorities. Access opportunities to combine hotel promotions into a Regional promotion.
5 Participation in monthly revenue room meetings.
6 Has a pro-active approach in supporting F&B marketing.
7 Actively supports Sales with source market activities.

Public Relations

1 Maintain and uplift the image of the hotel to its key stakeholders through various public relations and corporate social responsibility activities according to the plan set by the hotel.
2 Manage media relations activities with local media, local and regional agency.

Collateral/ Marketing Literature /Merchandising

1 To ensure all collateral and marketing literatures produced for the hotel are of high standards and comply with Doubletree brand identity guidelines.
2 Ensuring merchandising opportunities are maximized.

Sponsorship & Partnerships

1 Identify companies/organizations that fit with the DoubleTree Brand and could represent a partnership opportunity. Maximize revenue through using preferred partners and developing sponsorship deals. Measure the return on investment from sponsorships and partnerships

E-Commerce

1 Maintain, update and regularly check for changes on brand websites.
2 Regular checks on third party websites/social media/ online directories to ensure compliance with brand.
3 Email marketing through Cheetah mail and liaising with regional team for regional opportunities.
4 Management of databases

Tactical Promotion

1 Identifying and addressing hotels need periods through a variety of communication channels such as HHonors, Premium Club, and other Hilton Channels.
2 Measuring the return on investment for all campaigns and promotions.

Advertising

1 Plan and develop the hotel media plan.
2 Maintaining records and return on investment.

Style Guide

1 For restaurants with a unique identity, a F&B style guide should be in place.

Photography

1 Keeping photography up to date and inline with brand guidelines
2 Input to budgeting process for refreshed photography (2-3 years)
3 Apply all required guidelines (look and feel, release forms) and work through accredited partners

Brand Policy

1 Control of the brand and making sure that all items of collateral, merchandising advertising and back of house material are compliant with the brand standards.

Other Consideration:

1 Is responsible for the training and development of the Marketing & Communications team.
2 Take care of hotel property (items for office use, machines and facilities).
3 To understand and strictly adhere to the rules and regulations established in the employee handbook.
4 To understand and strictly adhere to the hotel's policy on fire, hygiene, health & safety.
5 To maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene at all times.
6 To maintain good rapport and working relationship with staff in the department and all other departments.
7 To provide a courteous and professional service at all times.
8 To attend and contribute to all staff meetings and other related activities.

Duties/responsibilities

* Receive orders and serve customer requests completely in a timely manner
* Create and serve a range of beverages including classic cocktails, mixers, beer, wine and soft drinks etc.
* Take food orders and assist the floor team with deliveries as required
* Understand menu content, any menu changes, and promotional activities
* Keep your service area clean, tidy, and well-prepared
* Efficiently manage the proper settlement of all customer accounts
* Answer guest queries in a polite and helpful manner
