Job Description

Supervises all aspects of the gift shop within the resort. Ensure that the gift shop is kept clean, orderly, well lit, with creative displays to attract customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION

Train all gift shop staff using Skills Training Outlines (STOs) for proper gift shop operations. Daily supervision of gift shop staff. Perform opening and closing procedures for retail shop Collect all monies and charges for retail merchandise Complete all accounting paperwork for all sales transactions  Direct involvement with ordering, receiving, pricing of merchandise products. Ensure proper stocking of merchandise Carry out the policies and procedures of Benchmark Hospitality at Stonewall Resort while maintaining the highest degree of professionalism and teamwork atmosphere as per standards of service. Flexibility to work a varied schedule due to business levels and industry demand.  Maintain high levels of sanitation and safety throughout work area Give clear and concise directions to various locations in the resort Answer guest questions using excellent customer service skills Must be well groomed, with nametag on at all times while working on the property. Must be well-mannered, display a helpful attitude at all times, greet guests when encountered, show appreciation to the guest for being at the resort, show willingness to help guests and employees at all times. Provide assistance in other job classifications as determined necessary by immediate superior.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED

Must be service oriented and provide excellent customer service.  Ability to interact well with others.  Ability to train and lead by example.  Effective communication with staff members and managers across department lines.  Able to accurately handle cash.  Must have retail experience.  Must have the ability to lift and move 10-25 lbs. daily.  Communicate effectively and respectfully with all other co-workers and resort guests. Ability to use point of sale computer system.   Must be prompt and dependable
