Laundry Attendant 2nd shift

Position Summary

Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is seeking a Laundry Attendant to join our team. Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is a Four-Diamond hotel, luxury 340 room hotel with 25,000 square feet of meeting/function space, and Mason's Restaurant and Mason's Bar. The Laundry Attendant is a part of the Laundry Team. This person is responsible for folding and feeding linen. Maintain good quality and production standards. Additional responsibilities include all opening duties. Maintain a clean work environment. Have a positive attitude and be able to work well with others.

  • Hand fold  terry items , blankets  and spreads.
  • Performs any opening work.
  • Operates assigned equipment in accordance with hotel standards and guidelines for safety.
  • Feeds flat work iron.
  • Tracks production.
  • Keeps assigned area clean.
  • Performs any closing work.
  • Encourages a positive attitude among employees, and treats other employees (and the guests) with courtesy and respect.
  • Plus any other duties as assigned by management.




Required Skills and Experience
  • Must be able to maintain production reports.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be flexible to work p.m. shift, including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be customer-service orientated and have excellent hospitality skills.
  • Must be a team player and basic communication skills in English needed
