Paséa Hotel & Spa is seeking an In-Room Dining Server to join our team!

Job Summary:

The in-room dining server will deliver meals and amenities to guestrooms or areas of the hotel within specified times. The server will inspect guest floors for in-room dining trays and or tables and return them to the In-room dining department. It is necessary to serve guests in a warm, professional and accommodating manner while meeting and exceeding our guests' service standards and expectations. The server will adhere to the direction from management and maintain a positive work environment ensuring 100% guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Deliver meals and amenities to guest rooms or other areas of the hotel within a specified time
  • Assist in the accurate and timely delivery of all in-room amenities
  • Provide exemplary customer service
  • Provide proper service of all food and beverage offerings
  • Execute the operation of the Micros point of sale system accurately
  • Enthusiastically describe wine offerings, menu items and specials
  • Complete assigned cleaning duties
  • Clean and organize the in-room dining service work stations during and after the shift
  • Complete all other duties assigned by management
  • Inform management of any out of stock items needed for amenities
  • Attend all meetings and seminars as requested or assigned

Job Requirements:

  • Prior food service experience desired
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Basic mathematical skills

 Ideal candidate will have:

  • Basic knowledge of wine, beer, liquors, waters and drinks served
  • Food Handlers Cards & "TIPS" certifications

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, sit, use hands to reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must be able to lift/move and exert around 50 pounds of force occasionally, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. Finger dexterity is required to operate a computer keyboard, calculator and other office/IT equipment.

The new Paséa Hotel & Spa is a short walk from the Huntington Beach Pier, which draws an estimated 16.3 million visitors annually.  The property will be designed by renowned international hotel architect WATG, with the guest rooms designed by Monogram by Callison, interior public spaces by Kay Lang + Associates, and the restaurant and bar by Costa Mesa-based Hatch Design Group.
