Position Summary:

The Intern MICE Sales will assist the MICE associates in the development of MICE agencies business through responding to client group requests, following up on action plans and contributing to the organization of client events.

Base location: Sales Office at Hilton Paris Orly Hotel

Internship duration: January/February to June/July 2017

What will I be doing?

Sales & Marketing missions:

- Handle group requests, from the client brief to contract signature. The Intern will the intermediary between hotels and customers.

- Follow up on key clients' needs

- Preparation of sales calls, trips & customer events

- Creation of promotional tools

- Eventual cold calls

- Set-up and organization of customer events e.g. cocktails, dinners, shows, familiarisation trips, fairs.

- Various administrative tasks to assist the general organisation and set-up of the office.

- The Sales Manager may invite the Intern on sales calls and other external missions (workshops, presentations at TMC offices, client meetings...)

Languages: French & English are mostly used in internal and external communications. The trainee will acquire a vast knowledge of English hospitality industry vocabulary.

Computer Skills: -Optimize Outlook knowledge; Creation and updates of existing PowerPoint presentation, Database update and use of Excel to create statistics

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate must be a self-starter, well-organized, extremely detail-oriented and an assertive team player, willing to take ownership of responsibilities, and possess a high level of positive energy and drive.

Excellent time management, organizational, coordination and communication (verbal and written) skills. Be able to effectively communicate while employing diplomacy with high level executives within the organization on a global scale. Must be capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously with little supervision.

Ability to manage multiple priorities. Completes assignments on time, or advises in advance of any delays. Computer Skills: Very high level in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
