Margaritaville is a global lifestyle brand with seven destination resorts/hotels across the Southeast United States and Caribbean and eight additional locations in active development; four gaming locations; and more than 60 food and beverage locations.

SUMMARY: Responsible for day-to-day management Information Technology for the Margaritaville Orlando Resort. Ocean Properties, one of the largest privately held operating and development companies in North America is seeking an experienced Information Technology professional to provide onsite and remote systems and engineering support services. This position is based in Orlando, Florida.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for the daily management of Information Technology for entire resort including, but not limited to:
- Manage all hotel Information Technology systems including Front Desk, Point of Sale, Telephones, Door Locks, back office applications, desktops, laptops, servers, networks, network devices including routers, switches, hubs, cabling, data security, as well as administrative and guest internet access.
- Participate in resort Executive Team meetings. Communicate with departments heads regularly about ongoing issues and projects that impact the customers or their staff.
- Work with corporate IT Directors to plan new projects, implementations, budgeting. Implement corporate IT standards and practices at the resort.
- Identify deficiencies and make proposals for new systems, or upgrades to resolve them.
- Perform new IT staff orientations.
- Work with vendors directly for support of the resort systems.
- Assist sales team with identifying and prepare group IT/Internet requirements by meeting with event planners, and prospective group representatives.
- Deliver a high level of support to resort staff using issue tracking system

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIREMENTS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors of Science degree in Information Science and/or related work experience 5 or more years in Hospitality Information Technology.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.
Ability to add, subtract and multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages.
Ability to solve problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A valid driver’s license is required for this position.
