Job Description:

To reconcile the business of the day and ensure timely and accurate reporting to the hotel management and the corporate office.

Responsibilities:

*
* Daily: Audits banquet checks posted in Micros compared to Delphi.

* Daily: Reconciles all Food and Beverage outlet postings.

* Daily: Completes daily tax reconciliation, ensuring all exemptions are properly supported.

* Daily: Verifies front desk cashier work is balanced.

* Daily: Verifies reasonableness and proper approvals of all voids and adjustments.

* Daily: Ensures all guest accounts are accurately posted with room and tax.

* Daily: Reviews night audit work papers for completeness and accuracy.

* Daily: Verifies Villa revenue posting and reconciles to Condotel report.

* Daily: Ensures accurate Daily Revenues are posted to Oracle by the corporate deadline.

* Daily: Distributes analysis of comp checks, allowances, and adjustments to appropriate departments.

* Daily: Balances credit card batches to submissions, researching and resolving any variances.

* Daily: Prepares and distributes the Daily Report (Daily Revenue Report in Oracle).

* Daily: Balances Golf postings to golf course spreadsheets.

* Monthly: Completes month-end Daily Balances Upload on the first business day of the month.

* Monthly: Assists with month-end journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as needed.

* Must be familiar with operation of general office equipment; requires strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Qualifications:

*
* Bachelors Degree in Finance or Accounting preferred
* Previous Accounting experience is preferred.
* Previous Hotel experience if preferred
* Previous Customer Service experience preferred
* Strong Excel skills required.
* Experience in Microsoft Office preferred
* Good verbal/written communication skills.
* Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
* Maintain a professional business appearance, attitude, and performance.
* Must be able to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
* Must have an understanding of balance sheets and revenue vs expense accounts.
* Must have working knowledge of general ledger and chart of accounts.
