The Hilton Austin Airport Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic, experienced and motivated individual for the position of Human Resource Coordinator at our Prospera Hospitality managed hotel.  Hotel features 262 rooms with over 28,000 square feet of interior and 13,000 square feet of exterior function and event space. This candidate should demonstrate excellent organizational & communication skills; a strong proficiency in multi-tasking with human resource experience essential. Provides administrative and clerical support for the Human Resource Department.  Responsibilities include general reception of applicants and associates; typing of reports, memorandums and general correspondence; maintenance of various personnel files; pre-screening of applicants; assists in various associate relations programs.




Essential Responsibilities:

  Accepts applications; pre-screens applicants; maintains hold an closed applicant files; schedules first interviews with Human Resource Director or appropriate department head; and maintains applicant flow log. Sorts and distributes incoming and outgoing mail. Coordinates preparation of all new hire paperwork, associate file and related card files.  Prepares and distributes new hire packet, orders and distributes name tags and coordinates associate lock/locker system. Maintains adequate supply of a variety of office and operational materials including forms, applications, office supplies, and reorders as needed. Types memorandums, reports, policy statements, general correspondence, training materials. Maintains active and inactive associate personnel files and updates as required. Prepares monthly reports.  Maintains insurance files and distributes insurance materials to all associates.  Makes complimentary room reservations and tracks usage of rooms by associates. Assists in the coordination of associate relations activities (service award banquet, all associate meeting, annual picnic, etc.) Prepares birthday cards. Orders flowers for hospitalized associates, promotions, family deaths, etc. Keeps accurate files of all department meetings, job descriptions and job vacancy postings. Updates associate information in the computer system. Maintains the Human Resource office in the absence of the Human Resource Director, Human Resource Manager or Employment Specialist.  Handles associate requests and/or problems which may arise. Reports accidents, injuries, near-misses, property damage or loss to supervisor.  Reports substandard (unsafe) conditions to supervisors. Utilizes protective equipment. Knows department fire prevention and emergency procedures. Follows safety and security procedures and rules. Adheres to all policies and procedures.  Attends company orientation.  Project a positive, enthusiastic and helpful attitude.   Provides for a safe work environment by following all safety and security procedures and rules.


Ideal candidates must have a minimum of one (1) year of current human resource experience.  Only candidates located within the continental United States will be considered.   Local candidates are preferred as relocation is not available.
