Housekeeping Supervisor

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for organizing and maintaining the correct procedures of all housekeeping duties as prescribed by the standards established by the Resort to ensure a Five-Star/Five-Diamond operation.
  • Conduct room inspections
  • Responsible for the supervision of Housekeeping staff and their services to guest suites and resort areas as well as the physical appearance of all integrated public and service areas of the resort.
  • Oversee room attendants are cleaning guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming
  • Responsible for performing, assisting other employees with, and ensuring the satisfactory completion of assigned tasks in the time frame and quality standards specified
  • Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Use Common Sense safety and follow all Hotel safety policies and procedures
  • Effectively communicate with guests for requests


  • One year of Supervisory experience
  • Prior housekeeping experience; preferably at a large resort (300+ rooms)
  • Must be available weekends and holidays

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel.  The employee frequently is required to stand for periods of time and occasionally required to sit, walk, push, pull and reach with hands and arms.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
