The primary function of the Housekeeping Manager is to lead & manage all day to day activities related to the Housekeeping Department to ensure the cleanest hotel possible. The Housekeeping Manager is responsible for the management and development of all Housekeeping associates.
Overall responsibilities include:
-Hiring, training, and development of housekeeping employees
- Ensuring standards of cleanliness are met in guest rooms, storage areas, laundry areas, rest rooms and public areas
-Ordering and receiving linen and cleaning supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels
-Prepare weekly schedules
-Prepare Housekeeper's Report & communicate with Guest Service Department
- Respond to guest requests to ensure guest satisfaction levels are met
-Able to work with cleaning equipment, supplies and chemicals
- Previous Housekeeping management experience
- Excellent written & oral communication skills required
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and Holidays
- Knowledge of payroll & budgeting
- Resort experience a plus
