Job Description

A Hotel Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the physical functionality, safe and general maintenance of the facility, while delivery expectional customer service to our guests and being fiscally responsible.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the physical funtionally and safety of the hotel including, but not limited to guest rooms, public spaces and heart-of-house areas.
  2. Make repair to hotel air conditioning system, change filters, clean coils, replace motors
  3. Peform preventive maintenance on all equipment (i.e. boliers, chillers, HVAC, electrical, etc.)
  4. Perfom plumbing repairs (i.e. clogged drains, copper pipe, change washers, change handles, drain fittings, etc.)
  5. Replace and program televisions as needed.
  6. Repair and program hotel electronic lock system
  7. Replace light switches, receptables, light bulbs and fixtures.
  8. Peform furniture repair
  9. Replace and repair pumps
  10. Repair, replace and finish: sheetrock, all types of wallcovering and paint
  11. Respond to guest calls and team member work orders in timely, friendly, and efficient manner to assess and report non-functioniong machinery and/or equipment.
  12. Troubleshoot and repair kitchen equipment
  13. Conduct inspections for preventive maintenance needs.
  14. Record and report completed repairs and items that require further attention.
  15. Understand and be able to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.

High School or better.


Technical/other training or better.



2 years: Qualified candidates should possess previous hotel experience with abilities in HVAC, Electrical Mechanicals, Plumbing, Carpentry, Electronic Systems, Kitchen Equipment and Energy Conservation. Vocational degree and knowledge of Hotel Engineering Software preferred.
