Job Description

Walker Hotel is seeking friendly and customer service oriented personalities for a Full-time position as a Guest Service Agent / Concierge.  

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and pleasant in manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

Overall duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide guests with a memorable and personalized experience during the guest registration process. Assign guest rooms, establish credit, explain hotel features and update guest profile with all pertinent data.
  • Assist guests with directions, restaurant recommendations, theater tickets and other Concierge needs.
  • Assist guests on departure by verifying and posting all outstanding charges, settling credit cards and making arrangements for luggage and transportation assistance.  
  • Communicate guest requests and any issues to the appropriate department and team members. 
  • Insert yourself in the guest experience and build loyalty through customer engagement and thoughtful service.
  • Approach all encounters with guests and team members in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
  • Attend all hotel required meetings and trainings.
  • Comply with Walker Hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
Job Requirements

All candidates must be responsible and comfortable working on their feet.

Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming. 

This position requires fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.

All candidates must possess a working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel in addition to holding basic mathematical skills.

OPERA Property Management System experience - preferred, but not required.

All candidates should be able to multi-task in a busy environment as well as the flexibility to work nights, overnights, weekends and/or holidays.
