Overview: We are looking for a qualified hotel sales manager with at least two years of successful experience with proven record of achieving room sales goals for a similar or better reputable branded property, preferably Hilton and/or Marriott.
Responsibilities:
Solicit new and existing accounts to meet/exceed revenue goals through telephone/email solicitation, outside sales calls, site inspections and written communication
Respond to inbound leads received through Meeting Broker within 4 hours of assignment
Prepare written correspondence to customers, internal booking reports and file maintenance
Participation in daily sales meeting, pre-convention meetings, training and other sales related meetings as required
Work with other departments within hotel to provide 4 Diamond service to customers
Proactively pursue new business development opportunities on a regular basis according to market assignment
Develop/maintain knowledge of market trends, competition and customers
Professionally represent the hotel in community, industry organizations and tradeshows.Overnight travel maybe required
Participate as team player with all departments
Complete all required brand training in a timely manner and maintain compliance with all brand standards
Assist with reports and/or competition data collection
The selected candidate will deliver timely and effective communication with direct report and other applicable staff

High school or equivalent education required Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Advanced knowledge of the sales and hospitality principles and practices
Must be available weekends and weeknights as needed
Sales-oriented writing techniques and strategies for correspondence, i.e. letters, reports, proposals, and contracts
Ability to maximize impact, maintains interest, and establishes a rapport with your audience when conveying information
Ability to proactively prioritize needs and effectively manage time and resources
Understanding the positioning of the hotel, services provided, and how the hotel can meet the needs of clients
Must possess computer skills, including, but not limited to, Microsoft Outlook and Office, Delphi, Cvent, StarCite, and Meeting Broker
English is a must; other languages are a plus
Brand experience a plus
Basic math skills

Excellent personal management attributes with efficient time management application to meet deadlines, and the inter-personal communication skills that promotes team-building, open dialogue and overall trust
