Position Description:

A Restaurant Host/Hostess is responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. What will I be doing?

As a Restaurant Host/Hostess, you would be responsible for welcoming guests and escorting them to their seats for dining in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

* Addresses complaints of patrons and ensures prompt and courteous service to guests
* Assist fellow team members and other departments wherever necessary to maintain positive working relationships
* Assist others with side work including, but not limited to cleaning, stocking, folding silverware, etc. * Ensure knowledge of menu
* Collect payments from customers
* Greet guests, escorts them to tables, and provides menus
* Inspects dining room serving stations for neatness and cleanliness
* Monitor restaurant activity to determine seating and dining flow
* Perform opening and/or closing duties, as needed
* Performs any other job-related duties as assigned
* Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
* Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for guests
* Seat guests and manage the seating chart
* Totals receipts at end of shift to verify sales and clears cash register
* Welcome guests and ascertain their dining needs
