We are currently seeking a qualified Graphic Designer for a temp-to-perm opportunity in our Chicago home office. The Graphic Designer is responsible for contributing to concept development and to the translation and extension of brand concepts into effective visual communication designs for digital campaigns. Under the direction of a Senior Art Director(SAD), you will work hands-on with several projects at a time and will be involved in all phases of creative development. You will be responsible for executing projects with guidance of the senior creative staff. The Graphic Designer should have attention to detail, be pro-active, have a strong work ethic, good customer experience/people skills in line with our company’s core values, the ability to multi-task under ever changing deadlines; have a creative eye for design, composition, typography, and photo selection with the ability to edit and touch up images. You will be involved in conceptualizing and executing new creative for email, as well as executing on existing branded templates.

A good knowledge of the following tools is required:

* Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – Mac (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, Premier, Acrobat), Microsoft Word and PowerPoint.

* Knowledge of email best practices including responsive design Knowledge or skills in HTML / HTML5 / CSS and/or in any email service provider (EPS) or email content builder such as: Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio or Content Builder) or IBM Marketing Cloud (Engage Email Builder) is a plus.

Responsibilities include:

* Conceptualizing, designing, developing, implementing, and A/B testing email marketing promotions, digital newsletters and blogs, social and digital display ads, remarketing / retargeting display ads, designing logo and branding for communities / campgrounds and campaigns, along with other various informational and promotional collateral with quality assurance of outbound campaigns and assets.

* Producing attractive and effective designs for all media platforms.

* Execution of email campaigns (new creative as well as branded templates).

* Supporting the team throughout the execution of campaigns and projects.

* Liaising effectively with internal clients and other team members.

* Offering input to creative meetings and sharing ideas.

* Communicating with senior team members to receive feedback.

* Troubleshoots technical issues related to ESP emails and HTML templates, and other aspects of email execution, as required.

* You are learning to excel at working and managing priorities independently, with oversight from your creative team leads.

* You aim to produce work to the highest standards offering variations and creative options, and are passionate about design, trends in mobile responsiveness, social media and blog design, advertising and print design, and evolving technology.

* Communication is a big part of the job, so the Graphic Designer must feel confident enough to contribute to the entire creative process.

* Keeping a finger on the pulse of current and competitive trends is also a key factor when moving towards promotion and recognition.

Qualifications and Skills include:

* Bachelor’s Degree with a major / concentration in: Graphic Design / Communication Design / Advertising Design / Digital Communication / Graphic Communications / Visual Communication Design / or other related degree from an accredited university or college, or demonstrated technical knowledge and equivalent work experience.

* 1-3 years email marketing design experience in addition to general graphic design knowledge.

* The ability to meet deadlines in a high-pressure results driven environment.

* The ability to see projects through from inception to production.

* Strong verbal, written, proofreading and communication skills.

* Good organizational and time management skills that support the rest of the team.

* The motivation to maintain and improve design standards while having an inquisitive and investigative mind.

* From time-to- time, the graphic designer may need to work hours that aren’t typical, so a flexible approach is needed to be a good fit for this position.
