Purpose for the Position:

To use proper sales techniques to achieve sales goals and contribute to the profitability of the hotel gift shop.

Essential Responsibilities:

1. Follow standards of neatness and cleanliness for the shop in order to maintain customer appeal.

2. Assists guests in suggestive selling and customer service

3. Know features and benefits of merchandise in shop and be familiar with merchandise offerings.

4. Follow policies and procedures that affect inventory controls.

5. Maintains the daily operation of the gift shop within the guidelines of retail operating

6. procedures

Skills and Abilities:

· Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.

· Open Availability, days, nights and weekends.

· Ability to work in a team environment with professional demeanor

· Must be able to read and write to facilitate the communication process.

· Must possess basic computational ability.

· Must possess basic computer skills.

· Knowledge of retail operations
