Concord Hospitality is pleased to announce the opening of Canopy by Hilton, a new lifestyle brand concept, opening in the Washington DC market in 2017. This 175 room project is an energizing new hotel concept offering simple guest-directed service, thoughtful local choices, and surprisingly comfortable spaces, so guests simply feel better going forward. Each property is designed as a natural extension of its neighborhood, with local design, food and drink, delivering a fresh approach to hospitality and the guest experience. Learn more at Alongside the new Canopy hotel will be another new hotel, the 238 all suite Hyatt House, also managed by Concord, focused on extended stay residents and offering all the comforts of home that is expected to open simultaneously. Each hotel will feature their own Leadership Teams including GM, DOS, and Guest Care. (note: the GM role for Canopy will be a senior level leadership role)

The hotels will be located between Maine Avenue and Wharf Street, adjacent to 7th Street Park (next to what is today the Hoffman-Madison offices in the former Channel Inn building).

Being a Concord GM
As Opening General Manager you will be instrumental in hiring and developing an award winning management team supporting our company's mission statement and embracing our cornerstones. You will be the liaison with Hilton, our owners and with Concord is facilitating a successful opening through orchestrating brand training, meeting operational deadlines on project timeliness, providing attention to detail in pre-opening ordering and pre-opening budget guidelines, and networking with city officials as the "face" of this exciting emerging brand.

The Canopy by Hilton hotel will be the first ever in the United States.allowing you a once in a lifetime opportunity to be the pioneer of this brand in our country! Your leadership and direction can help set the bar for all Canopy hotel developments that follow. We are seeking a dynamic leader with strong Hilton background of 5+ year's minimum in either Hilton Garden Inn or full service Hilton brand experience. Strong knowledge of F&B/B&F a must.
