Valley River Inn is a full-service hotel located in a stunning riverfront location in Eugene Oregon, is a historic hotel offering 257 spacious guestrooms and suites with patios or balconies offering gorgeous views of the Willamette River, the Owen Rose Garden, and our beautifully landscaped courtyards. Our team members provide our guests with stellar service to ensure they have a fulfilling and memorable stay with us, whether for business or pleasure.

Position Info

Our General Managers manage the operations and profitability of assigned hotels and report directly to senior officers of the organization; develop relationships with owners and work closely with Brand representatives to ensure all hotels comply within brand standards; promote excellent guest satisfaction; direct, recruit and develop hotel team; and proactively create & implement strategies to enhance the profitability and revenue generation of the hotel. Detailed knowledge of all hotel operations, sales & marketing, and finance is essential for success in conjunction with extensive hotel leadership and managerial skills.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree or 10+ years of experience as GM in full service, branded hotels.
• Minimum 2 years hotel sales experience.
• Negotiation/ interpretation of contracts skills.
• Strong business communication skills.
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
• Present a professional appearance and confident attitude.
• Ability to manage and lead each department independently.
• Ability to manage according to employment and innkeeper laws of the jurisdiction.
• Ability to interpret financial and operational data into operational plan.
• Willing to relocate.
