The Fairfield Inn & Suites- Clearwater, located at 3070 Gulf to Bay Boulevard -off  of beautiful Courtney Campbell Causeway, is a 127 room property (108 rooms - 18 suites).  We are currently seeking candidates for the General Manager position.

The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel, meeting or exceeding planned objectives for revenue and profit. The General Manager must ensure superior service is provided to all guests and product quality standards are met.

Candidates must have at least 5 years proven successful career as a General Manager. Experience with Marriott standards and systems is preferred.

Knowledge of the Clearwater - Tampa Bay area  market is preferred.

This position reports to the Vice President of Operations- SE Region.

The Fairfield Inn & Suites is owned and operated by Buffalo Lodging Associates. We own and operate hotels in the United States and Canada. Our hotel brands include Hilton Hotels, Marriott International, Choice Hotels, Carlson Hotels and InterContinental hotel franchises.

* Must have previous experience as a General Manager of brand hotels - Marriott brand preferred.

* A Bachelor's degree (BA) from a four year college or university in hotel management or related business.

* Experience with analyzing profit and loss statements and other financial data is essential.

* Proficiency in computer programs; including Internet, Intranet; Property Management Systems, WORD, EXCEL.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

* Able to support a team by exhibiting objectivity and openness to the views of others and contributes to building a positive team spirit.

* Must achieve BLA minimum scoring standards on all Brand Quality Assurance inspections.

* Must be able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.

* Must have proven record of maximizing Customer Service by attaining Company's established or better on Franchise Guest Service Scores.
