POSITION SUMMARY
The Company operates 24 hours a day and 7 days a week, so operational demands require variations in shift days, starting and ending times, and hours worked in a week.

The Front Office Manager oversees all front desk staff as well as shuttle and bellstand team members. This person focuses on day-to-day front desk and general hotel operations. This manager would assist wherever guest traffic needed it the most--morning, evening, overnight, weekends--whenever our guest needs us! Front Office Manager helps make decisions when taking care of customers to solve problems and address needs that come up around the hotel throughout the evening. The FOM also helps be an extra pair of hands, handles guest complaints that escalate, makes change for the employees, and ensures that everyone is in place and looking sharp to take care of our guests.

The FOM functions as the direct manager for the front desk and bellstand, with about 14 team members reporting to them. Creating schedules, reviewing payroll time sheets, managing staffing needs and training are major functions in this position.

Skills Needed

Possess knowledge of hospitality, business and customer service principles and practices. Possess organizational skills that result in accurate, timely and thorough work. Ability to effectively and efficiently manage daily operations and resolve operational problems. Ability to appropriately delegate, motivate, monitor and address staff performance if needed. Ability to anticipate and identify issues and exercise initiative to investigate, interpret and reach logical conclusions and make sound business decisions.

Possess strong listening, verbal and written communication skills with professionalism, diplomacy and confidentiality. Display consistent professional leadership while simultaneously handling competing and changing priorities and projects. Remain positive, resourceful and possess the ability to improvise while working in a fast-paced environment, sometimes under pressure.

Education and Experience

High school education plus schooling in hospitality management, business or related major preferred. Two or more years of hospitality experience and one year of supervisory experience preferred. Microsoft Office fluency - Word, Excel, Power Point and the ability to create excel formulas.
