JOB PURPOSE:

To act as Manager on Duty and supervise all guest service associates during the scheduled shift. To make responsible key decisions for the front desk and the hotel. To provide direction to the front desk team, performing overrides when necessary.

To greet guests in a pleasant, professional and efficient manner. Accommodate guests by registering and assigning rooms, issuing room keys, transmitting and receiving messages. Keep records of occupied rooms and guest’s accounts, making and confirming reservations and presenting statements to and collecting payments from departing guests. Exceeds the standards of guest service quality.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Shift Supervisor for Front Desk Associates.
2. Executes responsible judgement calls that benefit the hotel.
3. Performs manager overrides for Front Desk Associates as needed.
4. Responds to company emails in absence of FOM and AFOM.
5. Acts as MOD in absence of other managers.
6. Manages guest complaints in accordance to the service recovery matrix.
7. Maintains an organized front desk.
8. Position’s hours could potentially include nights and weekends.
9. Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education – HS Diploma or equivalent preferred

Experience – Minimum 1 year hospitality, general office, accounts receivable or customer service experience. Prior supervisory experience preferred.
