Food and Beverage Supervisor
Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is seeking a Food and Beverage Supervisor to join our team. Loews Vanderbilt Hotel is a Four-Diamond hotel, luxury 340 room hotel with 25,000 square feet of meeting/function space, and Mason's Restaurant and Mason's Bar. This person is responsible for assisting Manager in all phases of restaurant, room service, bar lounge, and mini-bar operations including complete operation in all outlets in absence of manager which include: staffing, scheduling of employees, training, planning and coordinating all activities to ensure efficient operation of the departments.
The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Communication and hospitality skills (English required). Ability to problem solve,
handle guest complaints, and use micros machine.
- High school education or equivalent experience
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Must maintain high standards of service
- Must be flexible to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
- One to two years Food & Beverage Supervisory experience in similar luxury property
- Strong organizational skills
