Job Description:

The Leader-in-Development (LID) program is a 12-month program designed to develop graduates into successful managers in the division they wish to pursue. The Food & Beverage LID will ideally spend 40 hours each week as a F&B Supervisor and 10 hours completing contracts throughout the training property. Upon completion of the LID program, the F&B LID will move into a F&B managerial role at another Omni property. Must be able to start January 2017.

Contracts are projects that will allow LIDs to learn about general hotel operations, as well as the details and functions of their division. Each contract will provide resources and evaluation criteria.

Responsibilities:



Functions of the F&B LID will be to complete all contracts within 12 months:

* Will be responsible for meeting with Division Head and Director of Human Resources each month as well as completing a monthly feedback report for the corporate office
* Hotel wide contracts include working as a shadowing various positions in all hotel departments, participating in a New Hire Orientation and discussing the Omni Six Pillars, and understanding thorough knowledge of banquets and catering roles and departments
* Food & Beverage LIDs will be expected to understand the duties of all F&B positions, including server, bartender, host, cashier, steward, etc, as well as payroll, scheduling and training
* Other F&B contracts include understanding the banquet department positions as well as their relation to the kitchen, stewarding, sales and catering departments. Completion of these contracts will require meeting with the Director of Catering, Banquet Manager, Executive Chef and Executive Steward in order to understand Banquet Event Orders, food preparation and procedures, equipment inventories and more.
* A key contract will be to demonstrate an understanding and analysis of our guest feedback, through Medallia surveys. F&B LID will meet with contractor and discuss the surveys as well as attend daily service recovery meetings.

Supervisory duties will include:

* Ensure optimal guest experience the F&B outlets, In Room Dining, banquets
* Participating in the Omni Service Tradition meetings with associates
* Conducting administrative work requirements
* Inspect delivery and set up of In Room Dining orders and amenities

Qualifications:

Requirements for Leader-in-Development candidates:

* Bachelor’s degree in hospitality or restaurant management
* Passion for the hospitality industry
* Previous hotel/restaurant experience
* Ability to work 50 hours each week
* Ability to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays
* Excellent verbal and written skills, as well as ability to multitask
* Must be a self-starter and good follow-up skills
* Must be willing to relocate to new property upon completion of program
