As a Food and Beverage Duty Manager

  • You will have a passion for luxury hospitality delivering amazing food and beverage and exceptional customer service
  • Lead by example and ensure the front and back of house teams adhere to and maintain the highest levels of customer service.
  • Be responsible for the day to day operations of the lounge across all departments
  • Liaise closely with other department heads in the lounges
  • Work with our oneworld partner airlines to identify inbound VIP guests and brief the lounge team catering for any special needs or requests
  • Provide total customer satisfaction by developing professional relationships to ensure people feel special and welcome.
  • Maintain a professional demeanour when dealing with high profile guests ensuring their privacy
  • Ensure responsibility for your designated area, as well as anticipation of guests needs
  • Be able to forecast business trends to ensure staffing levels are maintained to meet the needs of our guests and budget guidelines.
  • Have exceptional communication skills relaying information to all areas of the QANTAS First and oneworld Lounges Los Angeles and our lounges throughout the Asia Pacific Region
  • Demonstrate versatility in responding to the guest requests to ensure they always leave satisfied
  • Be able to work with multi-functional teams with a common goal of the guest in the fore-front of all we do.
  • Ensure that all lounge facilities and equipment are in working order and report and breakdowns for prompt repair.
  • Have an understanding of manning, budgets and report writing.
  • Demonstration and delivery of our Values and Service Fundamentals.
  • Be the face of the lounge representing the company and client brands.
  • Be the Lounge representative in the absence of the General Manager


Skills and Experience

  • Impeccable grooming and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and be able to multitask.
  • Strong customer service / interpersonal skills.
  • 'Can and will do' attitude.
  • Be a positive and upbeat leader
  • Excellent communication, both written & verbal.
  • Minimum of 4 years experience in a leadership role within a 5 star hotel environment or similar establishment preferred.
